Well this is a surprise. Still not sure how, but audio has been surfaced. Board mix? Probably.

OMG OMG OMG
Right?
This is a joyous discovery that I will share with all of my Engine-heads with whom I attended virtually every show in the mid-late nineties. Thanks Damon for this nugget!
Please do!
So great to hear this! Reunion? I’d pay to see that:)
Is it possible to download this?
Damon,
seriously, this is pure awesomeness. Is there a chance I can pay for a download of these live songs and the demos on sound cloud? I’m a record buying dork stuck in the nineties, so streaming the songs instead of actually owning them is like wanking compared to real intercourse. Please?
majestic thru headphones. thanks, damon. and man, i could EAT tom’s words and phrasing.
Hey Dwight, sure no problem about the Fillmore tracks — you can actually right-click (or control-click) in the time-line area of the audio controls and select “Save Audio as…” Not so sure about the Soundcloud stuff though, that might be more complicated. If I can get around to it I’ll share those tracks here sometime.
Can we pretend you’ve just enabled the downloads? But honestly, control-click, boy, I told my boss a Mac would be wasted on me. Thanks for the music, in many, many ways.
If Adam Duritz was the Allen Ginsburg of the late 1990s Sf indie scene zeitgeist, then Tom Barnes of Egnine was the John Wieners.
LOL
Hey Damon just found this Fillmore 96 show & downloaded …thanks for the instruction post and making it available ..This sounds f*cking awesome! Cheers
Hi All, I am probably a bit late to the party re: bonus tracks Duck & Baboon … I checked I-tunes and got a message they are not available in the US … I found Duck on the Caroline Bowling Partners promo cd but cannot locate Baboon anywhere (Itunes, You tube & Soundcloud only have 30 second samples… does any have a link to this track? Thanks!
Hey Damon! I was trying to get these excellent files on my android so I can pop them into a playlist offline. Am I the only person who prefers to curate offline music files on compounding upgraded discs rather than subject myself to yet another platform’s schismatic algorithm? Perhaps. For some reason my android won’t allow me to download these files. I never thought I’d get to hear such quality Engine 88 outside of the discography. Sadly, my entire vinyl collection was lost to a rash of junkies some years back and the only Engine 88 music I have left are my mp3 collection and the Snowman cd. If there’s some way to let loose these files, I’d appreciate it greatly. Thanks.
Hey Keith, sorry for the late reply, I just noticed your question today. Let me take a look at this and I’ll get back to you.
Keith, give it a try now — I think the download links work now. Thanks for the heads up!
I’m here because I saw Jawbreaker is on tour this spring and Engine isn’t opening, so this’ll have to do! I had no idea this existed! Wooooo!!!! I was at all of these sweaty shows in the mid 90’s with all of you kids (made it down from Portland to the Berkeley reunion too!). Rock on.
Very late for the train here, but WOW! This is such a gift! Hope all on this thread are doing well.

Do you happen to have audio from the rest of the show of JoJo and Van Goghs Daughter?
Hey Alex, it’s killing me that I didn’t include a link to the place where I found these originally. I was probably trying to keep it on the under or something, because I downloaded the MP3s as fast as I could. But it was like some clearing house of, I guess, bootlegs and board mixes. I don’t remember if there was also audio from the rest of the show, this was organized under “Engine 88” and I selfishly stopped investigating.
Just now I found this thing but I don’t think this was where I originally got these. But here’s one item by Jojo, haven’t been able to find anything by VGD yet…
Likewise Ken! Those were good times.
