Dearest Engine: I don’t use Facebook or I would comment there — this is the weird woman who flew from Milwaukee to San Francisco to see you play at Bottom of the Hill 11(!?) years ago. I recently found out that I’ll be driving home from a job in southeast Ohio for the duration of your set in Chicago next month… I’ll miss you by about 6 hours. ;(
I’m still trying to distract myself from the brutal reality of not being able to get to the show in time, so instead of saying “sorry to miss you!” I’ll just say: I and everyone else who was at that BotH show will be at your Sunday afternoon Riot Fest set in spirit, and if you set up a show literally anywhere else at literally any other time, I’ll be there in person, too. For real, you guys are the fucking BEST.
