Hi Damon,
Awesome pictures and retrospective. I have, not surprisingly, a big scrapbook of Engine flyers, set lists, ads, and 7734683876 actual photos if you ever want to see what us nutty kids collected of you guys.
Here’s all the pictures I took that glorious night in 2006 that I know will happen again someday- we hope!!

listening to whole show. memories…makes me want to cry.
Good god, that’s about the sweetest thing. You rock Omar!
Damon,
I’m trying to find out more about a CD I recently picked up: “A Mad A Fair: (or possibly “AMADAFAIR”)
An internet search linked me to a photo on your site (was really your band Smoking Section).
Can you tell me anything about this other project? I’m enjoying it and is seems to be from a local band (1989).
Thanks,
JD
Hi Johnny, yes, they were (and still are) buddies of ours — Berkeley/Oakland dudes, basically an East Bay supergroup of former and future members of the Uptones, Spearhead, Counting Crows, many others… just a crazy concentration of high-level local talent. Charles Stella, Keith McArthur, Sean Griffin, and Steve Bowman. We played many shows together, shared many drinks and smokes and other aspects of living the life with these fellas. Maybe that will get you started?
